- dbt · gap
dbt stays a gap: it isn’t in this candidate’s Fact Bank, so it isn’t added.
How does StructuredCV tailor a resume?
In three steps: you describe your experience once, give it a job description, and review a resume rewritten from your own facts for that job.
Build your Fact Bank once
Upload up to five past resumes (PDF, DOCX, TXT or Markdown) or paste your LinkedIn profile. StructuredCV organizes every role, project, skill and metric into one editable record. The same job described differently in two resumes becomes two versions you can choose between.
Add the job description
Paste the posting, or import a link from Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or Workday. StructuredCV pulls out the skills, tools and qualifications the employer asks for, and flags which ones are required.
Get a tailored resume
It picks the best version of each role, rewrites bullets with minimal edits to match the job’s language, orders your skills, and fits everything to your page budget. You see keyword coverage before and after, and every gap it could not honestly fill.

What makes StructuredCV different?
Most AI resume writers optimize for keywords. StructuredCV optimizes for keywords you can defend in an interview.
Truthful by design
A rewritten bullet that names a tool you never listed is reverted, and the skills section only contains skills from your Fact Bank. Missing requirements are shown as gaps, not invented.
Your data stays in your browser
Your Fact Bank, resumes, job descriptions and pipeline are saved on your device. Our servers keep only your account, plan and usage counts.
Keyword coverage you can check
See exactly which of the job’s keywords your resume covers before and after tailoring, and which ones are gaps. No made-up “ATS score”.
Exports that parse cleanly
Text-based PDF (including Cyrillic, Greek, Chinese, Japanese and Korean), DOCX and LaTeX, generated in your browser.
Cover letters from your facts
Draft a cover letter for the same job from your Fact Bank, then edit it in your own voice.
Your AI, or ours
Use a free key from OpenRouter, Google Gemini or Groq, or your OpenAI or Anthropic key. Pro includes built-in AI, so no key is needed.

Frequently asked questions
What is StructuredCV?
StructuredCV is an AI resume tailoring app. You build a Fact Bank of your real experience once; for each job description it selects and rewrites your most relevant facts into an ATS-friendly resume, reports keyword coverage, and never adds skills you don’t have.
Is StructuredCV free?
Yes. Add your own AI key (OpenRouter, Gemini and Groq have free tiers) and try 3 tailored resumes without an account. A free account gives you 50 a month, with the Fact Bank, cover letters, exports and the application pipeline. Pro costs $5 / month or $48 / year and adds built-in AI and every career tool.
Will it add skills I don’t have to my resume?
No. Tailoring only reuses facts from your Fact Bank. If the AI rewrites a bullet to mention a required tool you never listed, the original bullet is restored, and the skills section is limited to skills you entered. An optional “Boost ATS” step can suggest additions, and it names each one so you can remove anything untrue.
Does it guarantee my resume gets past an ATS?
No tool can promise that, because every employer configures its applicant tracking system differently and people make the final decisions. StructuredCV helps with what you control: a clean, parseable format and wording that covers the job’s real requirements.
Where is my data stored?
Your Fact Bank, resumes, job descriptions and pipeline are stored in your browser. When you run an AI feature, the text needed for that request passes through our server to the AI provider and is not stored. Our database holds only your account, plan and usage counts.
What file formats can I download?
PDF, DOCX and LaTeX. PDFs are text-based, so applicant tracking systems can read them, and they support Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Chinese, Japanese and Korean text. Arabic, Hebrew and Indic scripts export correctly to DOCX.

How to Tailor Your Resume to a Job Description
To tailor your resume, list the job description's top requirements, match each one to real evidence from your experience, then reorder, reframe and trim your bullets and skills so the strongest proof comes first. Change wording and emphasis, never facts. For most applications, that means editing your summary, skills and a handful of bullets, not rewriting everything.

What Is an ATS? How Applicant Tracking Systems Read Resumes
An applicant tracking system (ATS) is the software employers use to collect applications, store candidate profiles and manage hiring. It parses your resume into fields that recruiters search and filter. Automatic rejections commonly come from screening questions, so clean formatting, honest keywords and careful answers are the parts you control.

How to Find Keywords in a Job Description
Resume keywords are the specific skills, tools, credentials and job titles a posting asks for. Find them by sorting the job description into those types, marking each term required or preferred, and noting which terms repeat. Then use the ones you genuinely have, in the employer's wording, in your skills section, bullets and summary.
