DMCA & Copyright Policy
What this covers
Resumes and other documents you create with StructuredCV are stored in your own browser, so they are not published on our site. This policy covers material we do publish or distribute, such as our website, guides and browser extension, and any content you believe was taken from your work without permission.
Filing a copyright notice
To report infringement, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed (or a representative list if there are several).
- Identification of the material you believe is infringing, with enough detail to locate it, such as the exact URL.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Where to send it
Designated agent: Ayoub Zulfiqar, email support@structuredcv.com with the subject “DMCA notice”. Notices that are missing the required elements may not be actionable.
What happens next
When we receive a complete notice we will promptly remove or disable access to the material, and where we can identify the person who provided it, notify them and share a copy of the notice.
Counter-notices
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We will forward a valid counter-notice to the original complainant. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.
Repeat infringers
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights.
Misrepresentation
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, consider getting legal advice first.
